National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Today, Nami is an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.

National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder (NEABPD)

This website is in place to raise public awareness and promote research on borderline personality disorder as well as enhance the quality of life of those affected by this mental illness.

Charles Swenson

Charlie Swenson is a psychiatrist on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. After adapting DBT to his own inpatient and day hospital contexts, he proceeded to train others and to direct DBT implementation projects across the United States, Canada, and Europe. His website has lots of DBT resources, including a podcast.
